Role Overview
The Vice President of Execution and Advisory will be an integral leader within the Private Capital Markets team. Reporting to the CCO and Head of Origination & Execution, the VP will oversee deal origination, structuring, and capital formation across multiple private market asset classes including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, and alternative investment funds. This role entails leadership of deal teams to evaluate opportunities, secure mandates, and manage transactions end-to-end, from due diligence to closing.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Origination and Execution in managing deal origination, structuring, and execution across asset classes.
- Lead and oversee deal teams evaluating investment opportunities and capital raising mandates.
- Manage comprehensive transaction lifecycle processes including due diligence, financial modeling, structuring, documentation, execution, and post-close activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Legal, Compliance, Product, Growth Marketing, and Operations as well as external parties to ensure smooth and timely deal execution.
- Collaborate with Sales to support investor relations, syndication, and capital formation efforts.
- Contribute to broader business development through client management, strategic partnerships, industry networking, and event participation.
- Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to improve deal execution workflows and platform functionalities.
- Maintain robust relationships with issuers, financial sponsors, advisers, and other private capital market participants.
- Mentor junior team members, promoting high performance and collaborative culture.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 to 8 years of experience in sectors such as Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Deal Advisory, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Private Credit, or Capital Markets.
- Proven experience advising and executing private capital transactions including capital raising, M&A, structured finance, or secondary market deals.
- Strong capabilities in financial analysis, valuation modeling, due diligence, and preparation of investment and marketing documentation.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with commercial acumen to balance rigorous execution with pragmatic decisions.
- Established network within regional private capital markets including issuers, investors, founders, and intermediaries is favorable.
- Well-versed with private markets, alternative investments, and institutional capital raising dynamics.
- Keen intellectual curiosity, able to quickly grasp various industries, business models, and transaction structures.
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and results-driven, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment managing multiple transactions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, confident in dealing with senior executives and external advisors.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage simultaneous live deals, coordinating diverse teams and counterparties under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, or Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
