Role overview
TRG Growth Practice is hiring a senior Vice President to lead Corporate Development and Strategy for a fast-growing global manufacturing business headquartered in the Midwest. The position sits at the center of M&A, long-term strategy, investment evaluation, and enterprise value creation.
This executive will partner with top leadership to uncover and execute initiatives that expand growth, reinforce market position, and advance the company’s long-range goals. Success in the role calls for strong judgment, executive presence, and financial discipline, along with the ability to drive decisions and follow through on execution.
What the role will do
- Own corporate development efforts and broader strategic growth programs.
- Manage M&A and investment opportunities across the full process, from origination to closing.
- Assess markets, industry trends, and competitor activity to surface new growth directions.
- Prepare persuasive business cases and deliver clear recommendations to senior leaders.
- Work cross-functionally on integration planning and the creation of long-term value.
- Advise leadership on capital allocation, portfolio choices, and priority growth initiatives.
Background sought
- Substantial experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, strategy, or a mix of these areas.
- Demonstrated success in leading or supporting M&A deals, strategic investments, and partnership work.
- Advanced capability in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.
- Executive-level presence with the ability to shape decisions among senior stakeholders and perform in high-pressure settings.
- A record of combining big-picture thinking with disciplined, outcome-focused execution.
