Role overview

This senior leadership role is responsible for steering the brand marketing direction for Disney+ and Hulu. The position oversees global marketing strategy for two major streaming brands, guiding a team that builds and delivers integrated campaigns designed to increase awareness, audience engagement, and subscriber growth.

The role calls for a forward-thinking leader who can operate effectively in a fast-moving environment, bring teams together across functions, and help translate business goals into high-impact brand marketing programs.

What you'll do

  • Lead the team responsible for the overall strategy, coordination, and communication of Disney+ and Hulu brand marketing worldwide.
  • Set the strategic direction for both brands and work closely with product marketing and partnership marketing teams to create full-funnel campaigns.
  • Act as the main daily contact for internal marketing leaders and cross-business partners, including content marketing, franchise, paid media, social, creative, and other teams.
  • Run department-wide brainstorming sessions and encourage bold, original ideas.
  • Share campaign plans and progress updates with large audiences while maintaining alignment and consistent messaging across marketing efforts.
  • Review and approve campaign copy and creative messaging to ensure it fits the broader marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with Disney Entertainment content teams on major original programming launches, including customized content plans and targeted efforts that expand visibility and social reach.
  • Manage the financial side of brand marketing by working with Finance on budgeting, annual operating planning, five-year planning, and day-to-day P&A oversight.
  • Develop presentation materials and internal pitch tools tailored to different audiences.
  • Obtain required approvals for marketing assets and drive stakeholder alignment behind key campaigns.

Required experience and background

  • At least 12 years of experience in marketing or a closely related function, including ownership of high-priority brand work with multiple stakeholders and direct reports.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television, or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience building strategy and executing brand campaigns.
  • Proven experience working with senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Background in highly matrixed marketing organizations.
  • Strong command of budget management and campaign planning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, especially for large-group presentations.
  • Ability to adapt messaging and presentation style for different audiences.
  • Confident executive presence and strong professional credibility.
  • Comfort taking calculated risks and performing in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team while managing multiple priorities at once.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.

Preferred background

  • MBA or master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience marketing entertainment content and/or subscription services.
  • Demonstrated success in building a major consumer brand in the direct-to-consumer space.
  • Strong partner-management skills with the ability to build and deepen external relationships.

The expected base salary range for this role in Burbank, CA is $236,000 to $316,500 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on internal equity, location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position.
