Role Overview
The Vice President of Brand Management for Entertainment will steer the strategic direction and growth of Authentic’s Entertainment brands across the EMEAI market. The role includes leading licensee relationships to ensure alignment with the brand vision and achievement of financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and align the organization around the brand vision and strategies so licensees can effectively realize them within their expertise areas.
- Support the development of the Brand Annual Operating Plan by providing analytical insights, forecasting, and strategic guidance.
- Identify and communicate trends and insights by analyzing category, brand, channel, and customer data.
- Collaborate with internal partners to refine brand vision, positioning, and architecture to enhance awareness, growth, and financial returns.
- Coordinate brand-related activities across business development, marketing, PR, and other departments to maintain brand consistency.
- Ensure brand integrity across product lines, advertising, and communications related to assigned brands.
- Represent the brand at summits and communicate messages to external partners.
- Organize essential business development resources (such as product catalogs, line sheets, pricing) for licensees.
- Work closely with licensing partners to understand their business models and product cycles to optimize retail profitability.
- Serve as a liaison between licensees and retailers to facilitate global market transactions when necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute product and category strategies that sustain and expand the brand worldwide.
- Define consumer target segments through market trend analysis to build category growth and expansion plans.
- Present seasonal product lines, highlighting trends and best-sellers to current and prospective licensees and retailers.
- Participate in negotiating new licensing agreements and key sales or marketing presentations.
- Contribute to licensing process improvements and oversee their implementation and execution.
- Analyze consumer trends to identify potential new product categories and regional expansion opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in merchandising, brand marketing, business development or managing licensing programs, specifically within merchandising or entertainment licensing on a global scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in managing prominent brands with strong understanding of licensing deal identification and negotiations.
- Experience securing and managing licensing agreements across various product categories.
- Excellent research abilities to stay informed on current celebrity branding and product trends.
- Hands-on expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and royalty revenue data analysis.
- Outstanding communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven approach to work.
- Strong analytical skills for monitoring and predicting brand performance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
