Overview
Northland Nissan, a member of the AutoCanada group—the largest Canadian owned publicly traded automotive dealer in Canada and the US—is hiring for a full-time Vehicle Detailer based in Prince George, BC. This position offers an immediate start and involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles to dealership standards while supporting overall service operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Detail both the exterior and interior of customer vehicles to meet dealership expectations.
- Carry out routine car detailing tasks including vacuuming, deodorizing interiors, washing, and polishing.
- Ensure the exterior surfaces of vehicles are spotless and free from smudges or blemishes.
- Detail interiors by wiping dashboards, vacuuming carpet and floor mats, and applying paint sealants.
- Clean and polish wheels and rims.
- Utilize various handheld electric and manual tools for detailing purposes.
- Report to supervisors or technicians any vehicle parts needing repair or replacement.
- Complete a detailed quality control checklist after each vehicle is detailed.
- Assist with additional repair-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong interest in the automotive field and a good understanding of vehicle components.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Prior experience handling cleaning chemicals, tools, and power washers is advantageous.
- Dependability, strong attention to detail, and capability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and use hand-held and power equipment safely.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is mandatory.
