About the role
This position is central to maintaining the accuracy, fairness, and compliance of gold loan valuation work across branches nationwide. The role focuses on evaluating gold collateral, enabling disbursals, supporting audits, and building capability within branch teams. It also calls for strong ethics, strict confidentiality, and consistent adherence to internal standards while helping improve customer acquisition and day-to-day operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Assess gold loan cases using approved valuation techniques and tools.
- Verify gold purity carefully and ensure collateral is evaluated correctly.
- Help close cases within the required turnaround timelines for disbursal.
- Travel to nearby branches to carry out stock checks and valuation-related activities.
- Track delinquent accounts and assist branches in maintaining portfolio health.
- Conduct training for branch employees on gold valuation practices and fraud prevention.
- Work with full honesty and transparency, avoiding any personal or indirect benefit.
- Carry out customer reference verification with professionalism and diligence.
- Protect customer data and ensure it is not disclosed to competitors.
- Follow company rules without exception and keep internal policies confidential.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding company assets assigned for work purposes.
Additional responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to keep valuation operations running smoothly.
- Assist with marketing and customer outreach activities when required.
- Take part in other departmental tasks as assigned from time to time.
Education
A full-time graduate from a recognized institution in any stream is required. A postgraduate qualification in any discipline from a recognized institution is also acceptable.
Experience
Prior experience of at least 2 years in gold valuation or a closely related role in retail banking or financial services is preferred, especially within the BFSI sector.
