Position Overview

We are offering a $250 sign-on bonus for new employees joining as a Utility Porter. This role is pivotal to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the casino premises, ensuring an exceptional guest experience at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding guest service, fostering positive interactions and demonstrating resilience in handling challenging guests and situations.
• Comply with all guidelines by the Indiana Gaming Commission, United States Coast Guard, and other regulatory agencies related to riverboat gaming and vessel operations.
• Follow all company policies and procedures established by Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including cleaning restrooms, mirrors, sinks, countertops, and toilets.
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, disposable toilet seat covers, and toilet paper.
• Maintain slot machine areas by removing trash, emptying ashtrays, and wiping machines, chairs, and surroundings.
• Vacuum and carry out deep cleaning of the casino floor and all entrance areas.
• Respond to guest requests or direct them to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support casino operations.

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
• Strong work ethic with effective time management capabilities.
• High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Enjoy interacting with people and working in a team-oriented setting.
• Capability to achieve expected performance standards across all assigned tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Clear and effective communication skills with guests and team members.
• Able to work comfortably in an environment with variable noise, temperature, humidity, vibration, crowds, and smoke.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
