Role Overview

As a Porter in our upscale assisted living facility, you will contribute significantly to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and safe living space for our residents. Operating similarly to a luxury hotel, we expect exceptional guest service and hospitality from every team member daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and order across busy common spaces including bathrooms, function rooms, stairways, hallways, parking lots, sidewalks, windows, carpets, and floors.
• Provide supportive assistance to the Director of Housekeeping and complete special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Participate in snow removal and other seasonal maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and positive demeanor when interacting with residents, their families, guests, and teammates to foster a welcoming atmosphere.

Work Schedule

A minimum of one weekend day per week is required, with shifts on either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.

Candidate Profile

• Exhibit an upbeat, pleasant, and courteous attitude with everyone you encounter including colleagues, residents, guests, and management.
• Be dependable, thorough, and consistent in performing all cleaning duties.
• Handle fast-paced cleaning assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Prior experience in cleaning within industries like restaurants, healthcare, hospitals, hotels, or hospitality is advantageous.
• Experience working with senior residents is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English are required.
