Overview

SSP America is seeking dedicated Utility/Dishwasher staff to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across its dining venues at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This role is crucial in ensuring safe, hygienic environments for both guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere by keeping dining and work areas clean and sanitized.
  • Clean all surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceilings, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage spaces.
  • Dispose of refuse in designated locations responsibly.
  • Clear and reset tables during dining transitions; transport used service ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Scrape food remnants from dishes, pots, and pans; wash them by hand or operate dishwashers; store items properly.
  • Use designated chemicals and heavy equipment as needed to meet sanitary standards.
  • Assist guests with requests and communicate any special needs to servers or supervisors.
  • Manage loading/unloading of supplies between storage and work zones.
  • Stock, label, rotate, and monitor the temperature of food products.

Requirements

  • At least six months of experience in a retail or food service setting.
  • Preferred to have a high school diploma.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English to interact with guests and follow instructions.
  • Experience resolving guest service issues.
  • Capability to stand and work in confined spaces for prolonged durations.
