Job description
Role Overview
Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a committed and proactive Trust Grade Vascular Surgical Registrar at ST3 level to join their vascular surgery team. This established, consultant-led service delivers comprehensive care covering complex arterial surgeries and emergency vascular cases within Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting vascular consultants in delivering excellent patient care during ward rounds, operating theatre procedures, outpatient clinics, and emergency admissions.
- Participating in daily consultant-led ward rounds and undertaking theatre responsibilities.
- Engaging in outpatient service contributions and participating in the general vascular on-call registrar rota, which operates on a 1 in 10 basis.
- Documenting clinical findings meticulously and managing admissions from the Emergency Department.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
- Actively participating in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, audit programs, and educational activities.
