About the Role
Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is seeking to fill three part-time receptionist positions within their busy Ophthalmology and Orthoptic Department. These roles involve providing administrative and reception support to our dedicated team and contributing positively to patient care and office efficiency.
Position Breakdown
- Two receptionists working five days per week
- One receptionist working two days per week
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities include supporting the administration team and medical secretaries by preparing medical notes, organizing and filing documentation to maintain up-to-date patient records, and handling a range of administrative and reception duties in line with the job description.

The ideal candidates will excel in multitasking within a fast-moving, dynamic setting, enjoying interaction with patients and colleagues, and embracing a varied workload to enhance the overall patient experience.
