Travel and Expense (T&E) PTP Associate / Senior Associate

Role overview

This position sits within the Travel & Expense (T&E) process under Procure-to-Pay. The chosen candidate will own the accurate and prompt handling of employee travel and general expense claims, while following company travel rules closely. The role also includes managing the corporate card program and performing sample audits. Success in this role means helping the shared services function meet or exceed the KPIs and SLAs agreed between operating companies and the business services center.

Core responsibilities

• Review and process domestic and international travel claims, along with employee expense claims, ensuring they are booked correctly and in line with policy.
• Carry out sample audits on both local and overseas travel expenses, flag policy breaches, record exceptions, and take steps to regularize them.
• Support travel invoice handling and oversee activities linked to the corporate card program.
• Process employee-related accounting entries such as loans, advances, expense recoveries, full and final settlements, and similar postings.
• Assist the service desk by resolving difficult employee queries, identifying why issues keep recurring, and implementing corrective measures.
• Work within the quality assurance framework and coordinate with service management teams to understand, monitor, and deliver agreed SLAs.
• Address customer and supplier escalations through the defined process, maintain strong process discipline, and push back where procedures are not being followed.
• Take part in continuous improvement efforts and process optimization initiatives within the shared services setup.

Work location and shifts

The job is based in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Candidates must be open to working the assigned shift timings and should be comfortable commuting to the Airoli facility.

• 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM IST, with company-provided home pick-up.
• 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM IST, with company-provided home drop.

Preferred background and skills

• A bachelor’s degree in commerce or another finance-related discipline is preferred.
• Practical experience with SAP is highly desirable.
• Experience in a cement or manufacturing shared services environment is preferred.
• Exposure to a startup-style or developing shared service center is considered an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels of the organization.
• Good analytical ability and the capability to collect and use information from multiple sources.
• A self-driven, results-focused attitude with enthusiasm for learning and contributing to business growth.
