Team Member - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Overview

The role is designed to spearhead strategic financial planning, performance monitoring, and business collaboration initiatives by managing budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial analytics, and decision support across multiple business units. The incumbent will provide actionable insights to senior executives, uphold strong financial governance, lead automation and transformation projects, improve reporting quality, handle critical stakeholder relationships, mentor team members, and bolster the organisation's long-term financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the yearly budgeting, strategic planning, and rolling forecast cycles in partnership with business leaders to create solid financial and operational plans aligned with corporate goals.
• Conduct monthly business performance evaluations through comprehensive analysis of financial and operational outcomes, detecting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommending strategies.
• Serve as a reliable finance business partner for senior management by supporting essential decision-making using financial models, scenario planning, investment assessments, and business case preparation.
• Oversee the creation and review of management reports, board-level presentations, and executive dashboards ensuring precision, uniformity, and actionable output.
• Champion financial performance management efforts by identifying cost-saving possibilities, productivity enhancements, and value creation opportunities across departments.
• Lead efforts to transform and automate FP&A processes enhancing reporting efficiency, analytical capability, governance, and decision-making support.
• Develop and reinforce financial planning structures, reporting benchmarks, and governance procedures to guarantee compliance, data accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Oversee complex cross-departmental projects and collaborate with finance, operations, commercial, and corporate teams to fulfill strategic business objectives.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship for junior and mid-tier staff, fostering a high-achievement, cooperative culture committed to continuous FP&A improvements.
• Assist senior leadership in assessing strategic opportunities, growth potential, risks, and business outcomes using advanced analytics and data-centered insights.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Experience in automation and transformation within finance functions.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong financial analytical capabilities and management information system proficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration supplemented by professional credentials such as CA, CMA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• Between 10 to 12 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, business partnering, management reporting, and delivering insightful business analysis to senior leaders.
• Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and planning/reporting platforms including SAC, Power BI, Tableau, or Hyperion.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to direct cross-functional initiatives and enhance organizational performance.
• Strong people management and team development abilities.
