Eligibility and application conditions

• Only current or former officers from a Home Office Police Force, Police Scotland, or the Police Service of Northern Ireland are eligible.
• Transferees must hold substantive rank and must have completed probation.
• Re-joiners must apply within 5 years of leaving and must have held substantive rank.
• Applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years.
• There must be no active misconduct warnings or ongoing performance concerns.
• Applicants must not be under an active investigation with another force.
• Applications are not accepted from individuals with active County Court Judgments, unmanaged IVAs, or bankruptcy.
• Anyone dismissed from another force is not eligible.
• Applicants who were refused vetting by another force within the last 2 years are not eligible.
• For locations outside Inner London, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
