Position Overview

The role is a contract-based opportunity for a finance expert specializing in trading, derivatives, and cryptocurrency markets. Compensation ranges from $180 to $235 per hour. This position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis of options pricing, hedging strategies, including Greeks, volatility surfaces, and risk under various scenarios.
  • Evaluate aspects such as trade execution, market making, margin requirements, liquidity, and risk attribution.
  • Examine foreign exchange and futures structures, funding mechanisms, and exposure at the individual position level.
  • Analyze blockchain on-chain data, protocol functionalities, liquidation events, and digital asset funding rates.
  • Detect mathematical inaccuracies, identify unrealistic assumptions in market models, reveal hidden tail risks, and assess controls.
  • Communicate findings through well-structured written explanations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • For the practitioner track: 4 to 9 years of related trading experience or 3 to 8 years in crypto-specific roles; for the senior reviewer track: 7 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional background in derivatives trading, volatility modeling, foreign exchange, futures, market making, systematic trade execution, cryptocurrencies, decentralized finance (DeFi), or market structure analysis.
  • Strong quantitative skills and practical knowledge in pricing, hedging, liquidity analysis, and risk management.
  • Ability to differentiate between theoretical models and implementable, market-informed analysis.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly state assumptions and potential points of failure.
  • Preferred: Experience in risk assessment, strategic approvals, or supervising analytics work, especially useful for senior reviewers.
