Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Audio Transcription Evaluator specializing in English (Australia) to work remotely on a contract basis. This role involves evaluating and improving transcription and analysis of audio and video content to ensure high quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio and video recordings in Australian English with emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and strict adherence to provided guidelines.
• Develop, document, and maintain evaluation standards through creation of rubrics and guidelines to ensure consistent assessments.
• Perform testing and grading of machine-generated outputs, assessing their accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
• Contribute to benchmarking and quality assurance activities to uphold the reliability and consistency of evaluations.
• Collaborate with project leaders to clarify ambiguous tasks and enhance the design of evaluation processes.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent writing, editing, and critical thinking abilities.
• Proven capacity to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.
• Native or near-native English fluency with in-depth knowledge of Australian English, including regional vocabulary and slang.
• Competency in transcribing and analyzing English audio content accurately.
• Availability to dedicate 10 to 20 hours weekly to this role.
