Job description
About the Firm
This rapidly expanding systematic cryptocurrency trading firm originated from an ex-Jane Street founder and comprises a team with backgrounds from leading quantitative trading firms such as Jane Street, HRT, SIG, Optiver, and Five Rings. Although the team is relatively small, it offers a high-impact environment where each individual’s contribution is significant. The firm has seen impressive growth, rising from seven-figure assets under management three years ago to nine figures today with a team of only nine people. The potential for further expansion is substantial.
Role Overview
The position involves independently managing your own trading pod with complete autonomy and profit-sharing benefits. The focus is on mid-frequency statistical arbitrage strategies with signal horizons ranging from hours to a few weeks. Collaboration is key within this compact, elite group where knowledge and ideas are openly shared. The firm has demonstrated its commitment by offering a seven-figure guaranteed contract to secure the ideal candidate.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have proven experience in developing or operating systematic trading strategies. While direct experience in cryptocurrency is preferred, candidates with relevant expertise in multi-asset stat arb strategies across emerging markets, foreign exchange, or commodities will be considered given the transferable skills. This role is unsuitable for those strictly specialized in ultralow-latency high-frequency trading. A strong belief in cryptocurrency as a valid asset class is crucial, as skepticism is not aligned with the firm's mindset.
Compensation and Terms
The remuneration package includes profit-sharing with significant growth potential plus guaranteed seven-figure financial backing for outstanding candidates. The role is remote-compatible, and the firm is prepared to respect and accommodate non-compete agreements.
