Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Territory Account Executive based in Sheffield, tasked with executing a field-driven sales approach that involves extensive market engagement. This role requires a strategic and driven individual to lead sales efforts in a competitive environment, conducting demos, building pipeline from scratch, creating strong community presence, securing partnerships, and helping local businesses flourish using Square's industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commit approximately 80% of your time to in-person activities such as visiting 50 to 60 targeted businesses weekly within your territory.
  • Manage full sales cycles independently, including prospecting, needs assessment, product demonstrations, and closing deals across Square’s offerings.
  • Establish yourself as the primary Square representative in Sheffield, nurturing trusted relationships and partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth onboarding for clients.
  • Leverage referral strategies converting satisfied customers into new business prospects.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through targeted outreach methods, community involvement, networking, and partnership cultivation.
  • Develop expertise in niche verticals such as restaurants, retail, and service industries to tailor consultative sales approaches effectively.
  • Maintain operational discipline by tracking activities within Salesforce, managing pipeline health, reporting forecast accurately, and driving continuous performance improvements.
  • Persistently exceed sales quotas in a high-accountability environment that demands excellence.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years full-cycle sales experience with proven success in closing deals through field sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to surpass targets, handle complex sales processes, and sell a varied product portfolio.
  • Self-driven with experience in business development, including cold calling and hunting for new opportunities.
  • Possess reliable personal transportation and must reside within the Sheffield area to support frequent field visits.
  • Team-oriented mindset coupled with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms is required.
  • Additional assets include 2+ years in payment processing or related technology sectors (payroll, loyalty, time management) and familiarity working with restaurants, retail, or services-based businesses.
