Position Overview
Our partner company, based in Germany, is seeking a highly skilled and execution-driven Technical Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and operational excellence of critical infrastructure focused on risk and trust management. This role is vital in steering solutions that secure transactions and sensitive payment data on a global scale, bridging product leadership, engineering, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the comprehensive product vision, strategic roadmap, and delivery for risk, trust, and payment security platform features, aligning business goals with scalable technical solutions.
- Lead platform initiatives including fraud prevention, card vaulting, account updates, and portfolio migration, specifying requirements, APIs, and event-driven architecture priorities.
- Manage a self-directed cross-functional team, collaborating closely with engineering leadership and technical stakeholders to deliver resilient and impactful platform capabilities.
- Promote the advancement of AI-driven, autonomous fraud prevention solutions to reduce manual interventions and enhance scalability for worldwide payment operations.
- Ensure operational excellence by fostering a culture of ownership, upholding quality standards, and holding teams accountable for system reliability and performance.
- Advocate for scalable, secure, and observable multi-tenant architectures that support elastic growth and ensure operational resilience.
- Utilize data-informed prioritization models to assess opportunities, balance technology investments, and develop structured roadmaps aligned with business outcomes.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders across products, engineering, and business units to articulate technical trade-offs and synchronize execution with the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Established experience as a Technical Product Manager or similar roles within highly technical settings, preferably working on platform, infrastructure, payments, fintech, fraud, or security domains.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native systems, distributed architectures, APIs, event-driven platforms, and modern development methodologies.
- Proven track record in managing complex platform products and closely partnering with engineering teams on architecture, scalability, and reliability.
- Comfortable discussing technological concepts such as cloud infrastructure, serverless computing, microservices, Kotlin or Go programming, gRPC, RESTful APIs, and related engineering practices.
- Demonstrated capacity to drive project execution, resolve blockers, handle inter-team dependencies, and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Strong product-oriented mindset balancing technical excellence, customer requirements, and business priorities.
- Prior experience with risk management, fraud detection, payment security, tokenization, PCI compliance, or card infrastructure is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills suitable for influencing both technical teams and executive stakeholders by clearly conveying complex technical ideas.
- Proactive, solution-focused attitude valuing scalable, modular, and sustainable systems over temporary fixes.
Benefits

- Flexible fully remote working arrangement, enabling work from any location.
- Home office stipend to support a productive work-from-home setup.
- Company-provided necessary work equipment.
- Opportunity to receive stock options.
- Health insurance coverage applicable regardless of location.
- Flexible paid time off policies.
