Job description
Role overview
Aldar Education is hiring a Talent Officer focused on school recruitment for Ministry of Education (MoE) subject teachers. The position supports the organisation’s expanding network of owned and operated schools across the UAE and plays a key part in strengthening one of Abu Dhabi’s most established education groups.
The company operates a broad education ecosystem, serving learners from nursery through adult education with multiple curricula and supplementary services, including a Teacher Training Academy. Since launching with one school and 250 students in 2007, it has expanded to more than 38,000 students across 31 schools, supported by nearly 5,000 educators representing over 100 nationalities.
This role contributes directly to Aldar Education’s mission of empowering future generations and supporting Abu Dhabi’s long-term education and economic vision.
What the role involves
You will manage the full recruitment cycle for MoE subject teachers, working closely with the Director of MoE and school hiring managers. The position combines hands-on recruiting with advisory support, workforce planning, and process improvement.
As a subject recruitment specialist, you will guide schools on best practice, support selection and onboarding, ensure compliance, and help deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes within annual timelines and policy requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the complete recruitment process for MoE subjects such as Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies, ensuring alignment with workforce plans.
- Act as a dependable advisor to the Director of MoE, school Principals, and hiring managers on recruitment decisions, interviews, and workforce planning.
- Provide specialist recruitment support for MoE teaching roles across the operated schools network, including candidate recommendations.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver recruitment events in the UAE and overseas to attract and assess talent.
- Oversee the preparation, circulation, collection, and filing of employment contracts and related documents.
- Track vacancies, hiring progress, and recruitment KPIs using trackers, dashboards, and regular reports.
- Ensure recruitment activity follows safer recruitment standards, including verification of documents, references, background checks, and compliance with ADEK and KHDA requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to draft and refresh job descriptions.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for critical teaching positions.
- Manage screening, shortlisting, and first-round interviews based on role criteria and school preferences.
- Support interview structure, scoring methods, panel preparation, feedback gathering, and hiring decisions.
- Help strengthen the employer brand through campaigns that position Aldar Education as an employer of choice.
- Attend and coordinate recruitment fairs, career events, and virtual talent sessions to source teachers proactively.
- Issue offers and contracts, then follow up to ensure timely completion and return.
- Collect and verify onboarding records such as passports, attested qualifications, safeguarding checks, and references.
- Keep accurate records for interviews, offers, recruitment notes, and visa-related documents.
- Maintain candidate data within the ATS while following data protection rules.
- Deliver a positive candidate journey with clear and timely communication throughout the process.
- Share weekly vacancy and recruitment status updates with P&C leadership and school Principals.
- Communicate internal vacancies across the group to support internal mobility.
- Work with marketing on job adverts, visual content, and social media outreach.
- Train new Talent Team colleagues on systems, recruitment portals, and effective practices.
- Contribute ideas to improve recruitment processes, policies, and the overall candidate experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
- Additional HR or talent acquisition qualifications are a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in recruitment or in MoE subject hiring.
- Background in the UK, US, or UAE education sector is highly desirable.
- Strong written and spoken English and Arabic communication skills are essential.
- Ability to build trusted, positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- High standards of discretion, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Experience with end-to-end recruitment, interview methods, and candidate evaluation.
- Working knowledge of ATS platforms such as Oracle and related job boards.
- Experience using LinkedIn Talent Solutions for proactive sourcing.
- Volume hiring experience is required.
- Comfort using social media, CV databases, and professional networks for sourcing.
- Strong understanding of UAE labour law.
- Forward-thinking, proactive, and open to process improvement ideas.
