Role Overview
This position is a 1099 independent contractor role allowing flexible remote work arrangements. The Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist will take charge of end-to-end recruitment processes for technical, engineering, and select non-technical positions. The specialist will collaborate closely with hiring managers, create strategic talent pipelines, and ensure a superior candidate experience that embodies Thermo's culture and objectives for sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hiring managers to grasp role specifics, skill requirements, and team dynamics.
- Design and implement sourcing strategies targeting technical and engineering roles through channels such as LinkedIn, social platforms, referrals, university connections, and customized talent pools.
- Conduct screening and assessments of candidates focusing on technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Manage interview logistics, gather feedback, and maintain prompt communication with candidates and stakeholders.
- Advise on compensation using market data and internal fairness standards. Maintain precise candidate records within the ATS for real-time tracking.
- Perform reference verification, credential checks, and ensure compliance with recruiting standards.
- Monitor critical recruitment metrics and provide analytical insights for process optimizations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year experience recruiting within professional services like construction, engineering, manufacturing, or agency domains. Freelance or contractor experience is advantageous.
- Expertise with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and modern sourcing tools.
- Strong abilities in candidate interviewing and evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, capable of juggling multiple job openings concurrently.
- A proactive, cooperative demeanor focused on positive experiences for candidates and hiring managers.
- Valid driver's license, legal authorization to work in the United States, and a capability to fulfill duty requirements.
