Job description

Role overview

This position is for a meticulous, process-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist who will handle contractor-to-employee conversions inside the Workday applicant tracking system. The work is strictly operational and does not cover standard end-to-end recruiting.

The selected person will be responsible for keeping conversion activity accurate, completed on time, and aligned with hiring rules, while helping create a smooth experience for candidates, hiring managers, and other partners.

Core responsibilities

  • Complete contractor-to-employee conversion transactions in Workday with strong accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and confirm candidate information so records are complete and compliant with internal procedures.
  • Act as the main contact for candidates, responding to questions and sharing timely progress updates.
  • Work closely with hiring leaders to clarify hiring steps, answer process-related questions, and align on next actions.
  • Keep hiring leaders and other stakeholders informed about candidate status and expected timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners such as the Accept-to-Hire team, Immigration Support, and Human Resource Business Partners.
  • Follow established hiring workflows, internal policies, and compliance standards.
  • Spot process issues or gaps and raise them for improvement.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records to support audit preparedness.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of professional experience is required.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in HR operations, talent acquisition coordination, recruiting operations, or a comparable administrative function.

Experience using an applicant tracking system is needed, with Workday being the preferred platform.

The role also calls for strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a high volume of transactions, and excellent organization, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Success in this role requires comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

Preferred experience

Background in contractor conversions or onboarding support is an advantage.

Familiarity with HR compliance expectations and hiring workflows is also preferred.

Experience working with hiring leaders or other business stakeholders will be beneficial.

Competencies

Accuracy and careful attention to detail, strong process discipline, proactive communication, stakeholder coordination, and a problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement are key to this role.

Contract information

This is a contractor position, not a direct employee role. It supports the CVS Health Talent Acquisition team, and benefits are provided through the contracting company.
