Role Overview

BCG is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hiring for BST India staff in Gurgaon. The role is central to the company’s growth agenda and calls for an experienced recruiter with a search-consulting background, strong judgement, and the ability to improve how recruiting is executed. The position requires ownership of sourcing and hiring activities from start to finish, along with a proactive, agile mindset and the ability to create better ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Run end-to-end recruitment across all BST functions and ensure hiring targets are met within the required turnaround time.
• Act as the main point of contact for candidates, hiring managers, and search agency partners.
• Assess candidate fit, manage interviews efficiently, and handle offer closure activities such as reference checks, compensation recommendations, negotiation, and final acceptance.
• Map relevant companies, sectors, geographies, target organisations, networks, and talent pools.
• Track important recruiting metrics and performance indicators, then suggest improvements based on findings.
• Support the design and rollout of recruiting strategy, including participation in global initiatives.
• Build and maintain networks through industry relationships, membership bodies, trade groups, and employees.
• Identify practical and creative ways to attract both active and passive candidates.
• Source passive talent through direct outreach, networking, and, when needed, external search partners.
• Use industry contacts to identify strong candidates for specialised roles.
• Maintain regular communication with hiring managers and HR teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or another relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience, including at least 2 years of structured candidate sourcing in retained search or a professional services setting.
• A demonstrated track record of identifying, attracting, and managing high-calibre candidates from industry.
• Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships with a strong client-service mindset.
• Proven capability to manage multiple searches and priorities through effective project management.
• Background in candidate assessment.
• Experience helping recruiting teams and stakeholders operate at a high level.
• Ability to maintain a strong targeted network and build long-term, professional relationships with candidates and other useful contacts.
• Capacity to develop deep insight into talent markets across complex functional and sector areas.
