About the role
Myer Group is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver people-focused recruitment support and guidance to operational retail teams. In this position, you will work closely with the Talent Team Manager – Apparel Brands – Retail and support the Just Jeans, Dotti, Portmans, Jacqui E and Jay Jays retail teams across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
This is a fixed-term, full-time contract running until the end of November 2026. The role offers an opportunity for an emerging talent acquisition professional to build experience in a busy retail environment, while contributing to a major seasonal Christmas hiring program. The position follows a flexible hybrid arrangement, combining time in the St Kilda Road and Docklands offices with work from home.
Key responsibilities
You will help attract and secure strong candidates for retail store leadership and stock management roles, including Store Manager, Assistant Manager and Stock Management positions. The role covers the full recruitment cycle and requires close collaboration with regional managers and hiring teams.
- Work with Regional Managers to source and secure suitable talent for key store management and stock-related roles.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, from vacancy identification and requisition creation through to advertising, screening, shortlisting and offer management.
- Improve the experience for candidates and hiring managers by understanding key decision points and using the Myer Employee Value Proposition effectively.
- Maintain talent pools and candidate pipelines for proactive sourcing of priority workforce segments and critical roles.
- Keep applicant tracking records current and accurate in PageUp.
- Handle internal contract changes.
- Support HR administration tasks and assist the wider Talent team as needed.
About you
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR, recruitment, administration, customer service, or another coordination-focused role. You should be highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities, and comfortable working with accuracy and care.
- Prior experience in HR, recruitment, administration, customer service or a similar coordination role.
- Strong organisational ability and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- A customer-first mindset and a genuine interest in supporting employees and leaders.
- The ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Sound judgement when dealing with confidential information.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, with PageUp preferred.
