Role overview
This remote contract role is for a Supply Planning Transformation Lead supporting a major client. The assignment runs for 2 years, with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs. The hourly rate is $70 to $78, and candidates must be based in EST or CST to collaborate effectively with global teams.
What you will do
- Guide, support, and coach a group of Supply Planning Transformation Specialists on a day-to-day basis.
- Direct the full rollout of the Future Focused Planning initiative across a portfolio of manufacturing locations.
- Make sure every assigned site completes the shift to the new Target Operating Model within the planned schedule.
- Serve as the main point of contact for escalation of site-level deployment risks, obstacles, and unresolved issues.
- Track implementation plans, key milestones, and readiness checks across the site group.
- Develop trusted partnerships with site leaders, supply chain teams, and operations stakeholders to keep engagement strong throughout the transformation.
- Share regular updates on progress, risks, and issues with Program Leadership.
- Promote a consistent rollout method across locations and capture best practices and lessons learned.
- Apply change management principles to help new behaviors and working methods become embedded at site level.
- Work closely with the second Deployment Lead to stay aligned on strategy, exchange insights, and resolve issues that span multiple site groups.
- Partner with the project team to refine process playbooks and blueprints, using site feedback and validation testing to ensure the materials fit actual deployment needs.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- A master's degree or specialist training in Supply Chain or Operations is preferred.
- You should bring 8 to 12 years of experience in supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, or business transformation.
- Background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through transformation or operating model change initiatives is required.
- Strong expertise in supply planning, S&OP, or Integrated Business Planning is required.
- Experience rolling out operating model changes within a manufacturing setting is required.
- Working knowledge of SAP, IBP, or similar planning systems is an advantage.
- Change management certification is desirable.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement credentials are desirable.
Additional information
This is a remote position, but the successful candidate must reside in EST or CST hours to support international teams. The contract term is 2 years, and there may be an opportunity to extend or move into a permanent role based on performance and budget.
