Role Overview
This contract Business Analyst position supports the full implementation of the Loftware Enterprise Cloud labeling platform. The role serves as the connection point between business teams, IT, and the implementation partner to help deliver Print-on-Demand labeling and SmartFlow artwork management across multiple locations.
Work Arrangement
This is a remote assignment, but the selected candidate must be available during Eastern Time business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery discussions with subject matter experts and site stakeholders from Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to align business and functional needs.
- Capture and document the current labeling landscape across more than eight sites, including systems, workflows, and data dependencies.
- Map the future-state process design to match Loftware functionality, including Print-on-Demand and SmartFlow workflows.
- Create detailed business deliverables such as BRDs, FRDs, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Review existing label templates in legacy systems and work with SMEs to define a rationalization and standardization strategy.
- Assist with rebuilding and mapping templates in Loftware.
- Help ensure migration activities meet regulatory and quality compliance expectations.
- Partner with technical teams to define integrations between Loftware and upstream systems such as ERP, PLM, and SQL databases.
- Document data flows, field mappings, and business logic that govern label content.
- Support data integrity checks and traceability validation.
- Gather requirements for artwork creation, change control, and approval workflows.
- Define user access, permissions, and approval structures within SmartFlow.
- Align workflow design with established quality and regulatory processes.
- Act as the main liaison, together with the business lead or SME, between users and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and decision-making meetings.
- Track requirement approvals and maintain traceability throughout the project.
- Help develop the test approach and support UAT execution.
- Create test scenarios with business stakeholders to ensure critical workflows are covered.
- Coordinate defect logging, triage, and resolution with implementation partners.
- Support impact analysis and site readiness activities.
- Assist with training content creation and user adoption efforts.
- Provide support during go-live and the hypercare period.
Required Experience and Background
- Hands-on experience with enterprise labeling tools such as Loftware or NiceLabel.
- Strong business analysis background, including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process mapping.
- Experience with label template migration and standardization.
- Exposure to systems integration involving ERP/SAP, PLM, and databases.
- Ability to document data mappings, data flows, and business rules.
- Familiarity with SmartFlow, artwork workflows, or approval systems.
- Experience in regulated environments such as pharma, biotech, medical devices, or GxP.
- Prior involvement in multi-site or large-scale implementation programs.
- Experience supporting UAT, including test scenario creation, execution, and defect management.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $40 to $50 per hour on a W2 basis. After a qualification period, consultants may be eligible for benefits including medical, vision, dental, life, and disability coverage.
