Position Overview
The Supply Chain Specialist plays a key role in supporting procurement and sourcing efforts to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and service resources necessary for business operations. This position collaborates closely with various internal teams to oversee supplier management, contract negotiations, procurement processes, and initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and operational readiness.
Primary Duties
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source essential spare parts, materials, and services while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Establish and maintain relationships with service providers, leading bidding procedures, assessing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Manage Technical Service Agreements by tracking vendor performance, ensuring contract compliance, and handling issue resolution.
- Coordinate procurement tasks aligned with preventative maintenance plans to reduce operational interruptions.
- Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and monitor supplier deliveries to guarantee on-time fulfillment.
Candidate Requirements
- Between two and four years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, sourcing, or purchasing roles.
- Proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFP) procedures, negotiation strategies, and contract management.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Competence in juggling multiple priorities while adhering to procurement regulations.
- Strong communication skills facilitating effective collaboration across departments.
