Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Specialist to join our Allocation Planning NVS team based in Toronto, ON. This contract role, lasting over 12 months, focuses on strategically transferring inventory from distribution centers to stores across the country, ensuring that an innovative assortment of products efficiently meets consumer demand. This position demands a curious mindset, resilience in ambiguous situations, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively. Candidates should possess knowledge of retail mathematics, strong data analysis abilities to aid decision-making, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement to evolve with shifting business and consumer needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Distribution Center (DC) and MPO teams to upload purchase orders (POs) and maintain PO visibility at DCs.
- Acquire proficiency in systems such as SAP, MMX, Krunch, Retail Pro, and Generator to resolve technical issues.
- Support daily operations of the Allocation Team by ensuring timely upload and communication of allocations to the DC team.
- Reconcile PO quantities between Retail Pro and SAP post MPO order postings on a daily basis.
- Assist with forecasting and respond to business performance metrics and stock levels to determine replenishment quantities as necessary.
- Update reports and address data integrity issues to support Allocation and Planning Teams.
- Assist in product allocation by determining optimal inventory levels per store or service hub for each style and color, aligned with business plans.
- Support No Frills Stores (NFS) teams with resolving inventory discrepancies using Retail Pro.
- Drive improvements in Allocation Planning through collaboration with technology, process, and Allocation Planning team members.
Work Environment
Collaborate primarily with fellow Allocation Planners on the NVS team and coordinate across various departments, fostering a cooperative and dynamic work atmosphere.
