Job description

Overview

Nike is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist II to support multiple roles within the organization. This position is based in Beaverton, Oregon and works onsite.

Teams You May Support

This role supports two possible teams: the Sport Readiness team and the Supply Chain Style Specialty team.

The Sport Readiness team acts as the marketplace supply chain lead for an assigned sport. It coordinates seasonal readiness and execution across Nike’s omnichannel marketplace by working with Sport GMs, Merchandising, Planning, Brand, Marketing, Transportation, and Marketplace Supply Chain Direct and Partner teams. The team manages the order book, identifies risks, supports launch activities, and helps ensure products reach the marketplace on schedule.

The Supply Chain Style Specialty team supports a range of Nike Marketplace Partner accounts. Its focus is on order book health, delivery performance, and daily supply chain operations. The role partners with logistics, transportation, distribution, sales, and external account teams to improve order flow, strengthen on-time delivery, and support seasonal and financial targets.

Role Summary

A Supply Chain Specialist II serves as the business owner for marketplace supply chain activities. The person in this role is responsible for maintaining a healthy order book, improving delivery performance, and overseeing day-to-day operations with Transportation and Distribution Center teams. The position also contributes to seasonal planning, financial goals, and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external supply chain and commercial partners.

Responsibilities

The actual scope will depend on whether the specialist supports Seasonal Readiness or Supply Chain Style Specialty work.

  • Own an account or sport area and help drive marketplace supply chain execution.
  • Work in a fast-moving, matrixed, and sometimes unclear environment while staying proactive.
  • Focus on consumer-first execution to support competitive market speed across all orders.
  • Provide peer mentoring and training when needed.
  • For Seasonal Readiness support, partner with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent standards and deliver sports to the marketplace.
  • Track and execute launch product activity so marketplace coverage is complete and delivered on time.
  • Communicate clearly through one-on-one discussions, meetings, and formal presentations.
  • Keep deadlines aligned with the Nike code calendar.
  • Build a strong cross-functional network and keep teams aligned around shared sport initiatives.
  • For Supply Chain Style Specialty support, develop a deep understanding of partner business needs, routing guides, vendor agreements, and supply chain capabilities.
  • Run operational calls, audit the order book, and lead order-writing workshops to improve partner behavior and efficiency.
  • Share and scale best practices across Nike Marketplace Partner teams.
  • Track key KPIs with Business Analysts, forecast ship goals, and escalate risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Provide insights to Ship to Plan processes by working with internal logistics and commercial teams as well as external supply chain partners.
  • Produce standard reporting for in-season and forward-looking order tracking to support on-time delivery and smoother supply flow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline; equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will also be considered.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, operations, process improvement, or strategic communication.
  • Background in supply chain and a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and initiative.
  • Ability to analyze data, influence stakeholders, and present insights effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Ability to question existing approaches and shape short- and long-term strategies that support continuous improvement.
