About the Role

DSJ Global is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to spearhead comprehensive supply chain strategy within a prominent industrial manufacturing company based in Dallas, TX. The position offers a base salary ranging from $170,000 to $190,000 annually, in addition to performance bonuses. The Director will oversee procurement, planning, inventory, materials management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP), aiming to establish a world-class planning process, strengthen supplier relationships, enhance forecast precision, and drive both operational and financial success in a complex manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Integrated Business Planning process by collaborating closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust demand, supply, inventory, and financial forecasts to align with company goals and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee strategic sourcing and procurement, including negotiation of supplier contracts, drafting of long-term agreements, and managing supplier performance.
  • Implement inventory optimization and materials management strategies to maintain high service levels and production continuity.
  • Supervise MRP-based planning to guarantee material availability for manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate supply chain strategy with manufacturing leadership to ensure alignment with production needs and capacity planning.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, supplier performance, working capital, and customer service metrics.
  • Lead and mentor teams involved in procurement, planning, inventory control, and materials management to achieve high performance.
  • Identify opportunities and implement continuous improvements across supply chain functions and systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory; APICS certifications like CPIM or CSCP are highly preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible supply chain leadership experience within industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading IBP/S&OP processes and facilitating cross-departmental alignment.
  • Strong financial insight linking operational plans with budgeting, forecasting, and overall business outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and long-term supplier relationship management.
  • Extensive background with MRP systems, inventory oversight, production planning, and materials management.
  • Proven track record in optimizing inventory levels, working capital, and improving forecasting accuracy.
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing processes related to steel, iron, castings, forgings, machined parts, or other heavy industrial goods.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with a history of building and guiding high-performing supply chain teams.
