Head of Operations & Supply Chain

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Operations & Supply Chain for a rapidly expanding Australian beverage company specializing in zero sugar drinks within a largely untapped market segment. This critical position entails owning the entire operational engine that drives business success, primarily focusing two-thirds on supply chain activities and one-third on business operations.

Responsibilities

The role encompasses full ownership of demand and supply planning, production coordination with contract manufacturers, inventory management, customer fulfillment, freight handling, and export logistics. You will establish and maintain operational rhythms that propel the business forward — translating priorities into detailed plans with assigned owners and deadlines, and ensuring project completion. You will create and manage processes hands-on without relying on an existing team or software systems, offering a unique opportunity to develop both from the ground up.

Initial priorities include managing formula updates, transitioning to a new can format—from sourcing components to first production runs—while balancing demand, inventory, and cash flow to maintain existing product lines. Additionally, you will oversee initial export shipments and develop launch strategies for new markets.

Candidate Profile

• Direct experience owning demand and supply plans independently.
• Proven planning and coordination with contract manufacturers or external production partners.
• Track record managing inventory, third-party logistics, warehousing, freight, and fulfillment operations.
• Expertise running end-to-end export shipments, including handling freight forwarding, documentation, and planning landed costs.
• History of delivering cross-functional projects and establishing sustainable operational practices.
• Background in FMCG, food, or beverage industries; beverage sector experience is highly advantageous.
