Role Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist position is a full-time onsite role located in Houston, TX. The specialist will oversee the entire supply chain cycle for hydraulic and generator product lines, managing component procurement, order processing, and inventory control. Responsibilities include tracking inventory levels, resolving discrepancies, and guaranteeing timely material delivery to support manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement, monitor order status, and manage inventory for hydraulic and generator lines.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for operational efficiency enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth logistics and supply processes.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain records and documentation using ERP or supply chain management software.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning activities contributing to continuous operational improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong skills in supply chain and operations management relevant to procurement and logistics coordination.
  • Experience in inventory management including stock control, cycle counts, and material planning within manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Effective communicator capable of working with suppliers, production teams, and cross-functional departments.
  • Analytical thinker skilled in interpreting data, spotting trends, and recommending process improvements.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing, or power generation environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment in Houston while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Educational background: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
