Role Summary
The supply chain function plays a key role in delivering quality foodservice experiences across Canada and the United States. The organization is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist who can keep operations running efficiently and make thoughtful decisions based on data. This position is well suited to someone who understands foodservice supply chains, pricing frameworks, supplier relationships, and the connection between culinary, operations, and procurement.
What You Will Do
- Support the rollout and execution of category strategies for food, beverages, disposables, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain product catalogs, item specifications, and pricing structures in line with operational requirements.
- Assist with RFQs, RFPs, supplier assessments, and sourcing activities.
- Spot opportunities to reduce SKUs, standardize offerings, and lower costs.
- Track commodity movement in areas such as meat, dairy, and produce to guide pricing and sourcing choices.
- Help with contract negotiations and ongoing contract administration, including pricing arrangements, rebates, and supplier incentives.
- Support contract compliance, audit preparation, and accurate rebate monitoring.
- Serve as a coordination point between supply chain, culinary, operations, and finance teams.
- Assist with substitutions, menu updates, and continuity planning to avoid disruption.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with broadline distributors, manufacturers, and specialty suppliers.
- Take part in supplier reviews focused on service performance, pricing adherence, and product quality.
- Analyze spend data and build tools for market basket reviews, price monitoring, and savings verification.
- Help communicate and launch new products, supplier programs, and procurement initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Food Services, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in foodservice supply chain, procurement, or operations support.
- Hands-on experience with food distributors such as Sysco, GFS, or Core-Mark, including rebate and pricing structures.
- Background supporting supplier negotiations and RFP processes.
- Strong Excel and data analysis capability, including pricing files, audits, and reporting.
- Good understanding of foodservice operations and distribution models.
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort using data to support decisions.
- Working knowledge of contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization, time management, and decision-making skills.

- Experience with commercial agreements or MSAs.
- Exposure to procurement environments spanning multiple categories.
