Job Description
Dexterra is seeking a dedicated Light Duty Cleaner to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness across our facilities. You will be instrumental in maintaining a pristine environment for our clients and their operations. This role is crucial for creating exceptional customer experiences and upholding our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of flooring, including vacuuming and damp mopping small hard surface areas.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize washrooms, common areas, and entranceways.
- Monitor and replenish essential supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
- Dust and maintain the cleanliness of office cubicles.
- Clean and polish metal surfaces, including chrome fixtures.
- Address and remove spots from walls, partitions, light switches, doors, and window sills.
Qualifications
- Previous floor care experience, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with floor stripping and waxing techniques is a plus.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with supervisors, clients, and the general public.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Demonstrate a positive demeanor and a strong commitment to work ethic.
- Capacity to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- WHIMIS certification is required; training can be provided.
- A satisfactory criminal background check is mandatory for this position.
