The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong financial acumen, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. This role reports to the VP of Finance.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the direction for global supply chain, purchasing, procurement, and logistics operations, and guide execution across the distribution network.
  • Take ownership of demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, and inventory targets in coordination with Sales and Operations to maintain service levels, margin, and working capital balance.
  • Lead the financial side of supply chain operations, including budgeting, forecasting, expense control, cost analysis, capital planning, and long-term financial strategy.
  • Build and improve SKU portfolio management processes to strengthen inventory outcomes and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Direct purchasing strategy, supplier management, contract discussions, vendor performance, risk mitigation, and response planning for disruptions.
  • Introduce and expand digital tools, systems, and processes that improve supply chain visibility, strengthen decisions, and increase responsiveness to material demand.
  • Make sure all purchasing, logistics, procurement, and supply chain work complies with local, national, and international environmental, customs, trade, and regulatory rules.
  • Set and uphold ethical sourcing standards, including expectations around fair labor, human rights, and environmental responsibility in the supplier base.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to ensure supply chain capabilities align with product plans and market needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team with clear goals, accountability, and ongoing talent growth.
  • Manage customs and trade compliance activities, including HTS classification, duty administration, and use of customs bonds and bonded warehouses to reduce landed cost while staying compliant.
  • Handle additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of product development and engineering workflows, with the ability to partner effectively with technical teams from design through sourcing, supplier selection, and launch.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and related tools.
  • Proven expertise in global supply chain strategy, sourcing, logistics, and inventory optimization in multi-site or international environments.
  • Understanding of the logistics needed to support operations across multiple sites.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with global vendors.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making capability.
  • Executive-level communication skills and the ability to influence senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, plus hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree such as an MBA or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, including senior leadership experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Experience leading global teams and overseeing international supply chain operations.
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Netstock is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Amazon Seller Central is preferred.
  • This role requires one direct report and may also involve supervision of consultants based in Asia.
  • The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Travel of about 25% is required, along with a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally on a quarterly basis.
