Job Overview
This role focuses on defining business needs and translating them into functional and system specifications, ensuring alignment with user requirements and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and configure system settings, plan and conduct unit, integration, and acceptance testing, along with creating detailed system specifications.
- Identify, execute, and document test scenarios and results to guarantee quality assurance delivery to the business.
- Review current business workflows and IT modification designs to suggest improvements.
- Design new computer programs and workflows based on business requirements, system capabilities, and comprehensive analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production system or application issues through close collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Proactively anticipate and communicate complex issues both within project teams and external collaborators to maintain transparency.
- Serve as a technical lead for subsystems or small features, handle projects with small to medium complexity, and leverage expertise to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain IT systems and tools.
- In-depth expertise in Supply Chain domain, specifically sourcing and procurement business processes and tools.
- Advanced knowledge in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B buy-side protocols.
- Proficiency in RosettaNet, ANSI X12 standards, EDI protocols such as ALE and IDOC.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools like E2Open and OpenText.
- Foundational to intermediate understanding of SAP ERP Materials Management (ECC and S4 modules).
- Good analytical skills for business process analysis, conduct FIT-GAP analysis, articulate future-state processes, and translate these into technical requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodology and basic understanding of SAFe methodology.
- Supply Chain Professional certification such as CSCP is preferred.
- Expertise with SAP ECC or S4 modules in Material Management and Inventory Management is required.
- Experience collaborating with architects and teams to review system designs.
