Job Overview
Join Intel's manufacturing operations as a Manufacturing Technician and contribute directly to the production of advanced technology products. You will operate and manage production equipment, ensuring high-quality outputs while collaborating within a dynamic, results-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise manufacturing machinery in alignment with prescribed standards and protocols.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to address production challenges effectively.
- Engage in wafer production processes, including handling equipment, training on processes, and minimizing defects.
- Adjust machine settings to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
- Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to achieve production goals and escalate any issues that threaten output targets.
- Keep accurate production records and documentation as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Partner with engineering teams to pursue quality enhancement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct quality control inspections of raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with standards.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic instruments to carry out tasks precisely.
- Support installation, qualification, maintenance, and training for new or reused production equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum: NFQ Certificate Level 6, Diploma, Ordinary Bachelor's or Higher Certificate Level 7 in relevant technical fields (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Aircraft Systems, Process Technology, Physics, Instrumentation, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Mathematics, or Chemical Process) or completion of a Trades Apprenticeship.
- Experience: 0 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Skills: Proficiency with automated testing equipment and data entry systems, disciplined work habits, keen attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred: Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and effectively within teams, strong organizational and procedural adherence abilities, enthusiasm for continuous learning and process optimization.
Additional Information
This role requires working on a monthly rotating shift schedule. Exact shift patterns will be disclosed during the interview process. The position is based onsite at Intel's Leixlip facility in Ireland within the Intel Foundry division dedicated to semiconductor production technology leadership and customer service excellence.
This opportunity offers a competitive total compensation package including base salary ranging approximately from €32,100 to €55,900 annually, which may be supplemented with shift differentials and benefits depending on experience and skill level.
