Role Summary

The Storesperson will be a pivotal member of the RAF Lakenheath team, responsible for managing inventory to ensure the availability of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables necessary to support efficient and reliable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of store facilities, including receipt, inspection, secure storage, accurate recording, and distribution of stock.
• Maintain exceptional stock accuracy to protect company assets and guarantee operational readiness.
• Coordinate with operational teams, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to schedule deliveries, collections, and transfers between sites.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory controls to uphold data integrity.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized storeroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards including COSHH, manual handling, environmental, and legal requirements.
• Manage company tools and equipment, keeping precise issue and return logs and promptly reporting any loss or damage.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within storeroom operations.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven background in stores, warehouse, logistics, or inventory settings with robust knowledge of stock management and inventory control.
• Competency with stock control or inventory software and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to store management.
• Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication across diverse teams.
• Customer service orientation with capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Maximo or similar asset management systems, plus experience in Defence, MOD, facilities management, or construction sectors is advantageous.

Terms of Employment

• Permanent, full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Location: RAF Lakenheath, Brandon/Suffolk, UK.
