Position Overview
We are seeking a Storeperson Grade 2 for our Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract, playing a critical role in supporting Australia's Defence capabilities. This role involves more than standard warehousing—it demands precision, collaboration, and dedication to ensuring Defence personnel receive essential equipment and supplies promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence-related equipment and supplies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling tools safely and effectively.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and generate reports.
- Maintain compliance with Defence regulations, uphold safety standards, and ensure a clean site environment.
- Work closely with the team and leadership to meet operational goals and deliver impactful results.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in warehousing or logistics is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Possession of a current forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
- A valid C-class driver's license.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling duties.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and keen attention to detail.
- A safety-oriented approach to all tasks.
- Effective time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Australian citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance at Baseline level or above.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment assessments including criminal history, medical, and other relevant background checks.
