Job description
The Role
This opportunity is for a dependable and positive Storeperson to become part of a close-knit trade store team in Albury. The position suits someone who enjoys a varied warehouse-and-customer-facing role, with most of the time spent in back-of-house operations and the remainder supporting customers on the front end.
The site is small, with a team of 7, so it is well suited to someone seeking a long-term position in a stable environment. The role is permanent and full time, working Monday to Friday on a fixed roster from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Full-time working rights are required.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming goods, select items, pack orders, and get shipments ready accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders with care and attention to detail.
- Support stock control activities, including inventory checks and stocktakes.
- Use forklifts to assist with receiving and dispatch tasks.
- Deliver customer service support when needed.
- Keep administration records current and maintained to a good standard.
Ideal Candidate
The preferred candidate will bring a strong attitude, willingness to learn, and the flexibility to balance work with other commitments. Reliability, clear communication, and the ability to work safely are important, along with a team-oriented mindset and customer focus.
Previous exposure to warehousing or retail environments is helpful, and experience in stores or large retail operations such as Bunnings, Coles, Kmart, or similar will be viewed favourably. Strong problem-solving skills, time management, punctuality, and values aligned with the company are also important.
A forklift licence is preferred, although training may be provided for the right person.
Culture & Benefits
- Attractive permanent pay package with incentive opportunities.
- Employee discount card for use at Kmart, Bunnings, Target, and Officeworks.
- Referral rewards of up to $2,000 for each successful referral through the employee referral program.
- Team events and celebrations to acknowledge team members.
- Additional discounted offers through more than 300 corporate partners.
- Free onsite parking.
Next Steps
Applicants who meet most of the criteria are encouraged to submit their details for consideration. Suitable candidates may be contacted as applications are received.
As part of the recruitment process and workplace safety requirements, background checks may be needed. These can include a police check, pre-employment medical assessment, and/or drug and alcohol testing.
Diversity & Inclusion
The employer encourages applications from people of all backgrounds and is committed to building inclusive workplaces. Applications are welcomed from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTQI+ community, and people with disabilities.
