About the Role
The Blackwoods Group seeks a commercially savvy leader to guide sales strategies, enhance commercial outcomes, and accelerate growth with enterprise customers. This strategic leadership position collaborates closely with Sales, Category, Operations, and Executive teams to design effective commercial plans, develop high-value customer solutions, and influence market share expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement sales strategies aligned with long-term organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with large enterprise clients and sales teams to craft solutions that reduce complexity and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Facilitate large customer deal processes including opportunity evaluation, business case formulation, and consolidation reviews.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure robust and actionable commercial strategies.
- Lead market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer insight initiatives to guide strategic decisions and discover growth opportunities.
- Manage commercial frameworks and governance to ensure consistency, compliance, profitability, and risk control.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to enhance capabilities in commercial operations, contracts, and risk management.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated expertise in formulating and executing sales or commercial strategies within complex organizations.
- Strong commercial insight, with proficiency in financial models, pricing, deal economics, and risk assessment.
- Experience engaging with large or complex customers.
- Effective client-facing skills and partnership with sales to develop commercially feasible and executable solutions.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational tiers and with customers.
- Hands-on leadership style blending strategic planning, commercial evaluation, and practical execution.
- Background in procurement, supply chain, enterprise sales, contract negotiation, or commercial governance highly advantageous.
