Role Summary

The Store Manager will oversee operations at the newly opening Bayfair store in Tauranga. This senior leadership role requires managing a busy store with multiple department leaders, achieving sales targets, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Operating hours are Tuesday to Saturday with varying shifts, and applicants must commit to availability during these days.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large retail team including multiple department managers.
• Drive sales performance and profitability by leveraging product placement strategies and sales KPIs.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of the store and efficient process management.
• Create a positive and growth-focused work environment through strong leadership and coaching.
• Oversee back-of-house operations, including managing high-volume deliveries and teams.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in coaching teams to deliver excellent customer service and build loyalty.
• Ability to standardize service quality across multiple departments while maintaining seamless customer interactions.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing budgets effectively.
• Skilled in analyzing data and reports to enhance profitability and uncover business opportunities.
• Experienced in managing retail operations and leading teams behind the scenes.
• Strong people management skills, including hiring, developing talent, managing underperformance, and succession planning.
