Role Overview

This full-time position, based at the Bayfair store in Mount Maunganui, is scheduled Monday to Friday with varied shift timings. Your primary goal as an In-Store Visual Merchandiser is to craft captivating merchandising displays that enhance customer engagement, boost store profitability, and reflect JD Sports’ brand vision. You will work closely with the Store Manager to maintain outstanding visual standards and mentor the team accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute creative in-store displays, including windows and mannequins, tailored to meet the preferences of the target customers.
• Review and analyze sales and merchandising reports to make informed decisions on product placement and store layout.
• Collaborate with store management to uphold consistent visual presentation across all departments.
• Coach and inspire store staff to maintain company visual standards and exceed customer expectations, ensuring an exceptional experience.

Candidate Requirements

• Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering excellent retail experiences.
• Previous experience as a Visual Merchandiser, preferably within a fashion retail environment.
• Keen interest in fashion, combined with strong creativity and ability to influence others.
• Familiarity with JD Sports’ brand and product range is advantageous.
• Capable of applying critical thinking and commercial awareness to merchandising strategies.
• Strong organizational skills, including prioritization and delegation to meet deadlines effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills to engage with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
• Adaptability to evolving processes and procedures in a retail setting.
