Job Summary
The Store Manager will lead recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of store staff to achieve sales targets and manage expenses, all while protecting company assets and exploring growth prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet or exceed store and individual sales goals
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified store employees as needed
- Train and develop a high-performing sales team
- Provide regular feedback and uphold company policies among the team
- Ensure proper implementation of company initiatives per management guidelines
- Coordinate stock replenishment communication with district and merchandising departments
- Conduct monthly performance evaluations
- Identify and nurture talented employees for career progression
- Oversee all daily store operations and loss prevention measures
- Develop weekly staff schedules in line with company policy
- Deliver enjoyable, comprehensive customer service experiences
- Efficiently resolve customer concerns
- Manage bank deposits
- Embodies and promotes the Little Burgundy culture within the team
Job Requirements
- Prior retail management experience preferred
- 1 to 2 years of experience in retail sales
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Motivation to succeed in a fast-paced retail setting
- Bilingualism required only in Quebec locations
- Willingness to learn and complete training leading to management roles
- Availability to work 40 hours weekly including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to climb, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods
- Minimum age of 18 years; age requirements may vary by location
- Basic English proficiency required for effective communication with customers and head office
