Position Overview

As a Stockperson / Cartpusher, you contribute significantly to maintaining a secure, orderly, and welcoming environment for shoppers. Your primary responsibility involves collecting shopping carts from various locations such as cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters and returning them safely to designated storage following approved Walmart procedures. This role demands friendly customer engagement and a strong commitment to safety, aiding in seamless store functioning while enhancing skills in retail, teamwork, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather shopping carts from designated corrals, parking areas, and around the store, relocating them to approved storage spaces accurately completing necessary logs.
• Quickly address requests from cash registers and Customer Service, assisting customers with carrying items in and out, and verifying purchase receipts when needed.
• Assist with occasional cleaning tasks including restrooms, adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling, disposal, and power equipment use; perform mandatory equipment inspections before use.
• Strictly follow safety procedures such as hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both customers and coworkers.
• Wear personal protective gear like steel-toe shoes and reflective vests, conduct safety checks regularly, and comply with company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility in your work schedule by being available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business demands.
• Effectively manage high workloads during overnight hours, maintaining energy and concentration throughout shifts to complete restocking and organization tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Handle physically demanding duties including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, while performing repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be aged 16 or older.
