Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-zoned grocery area that is customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or damaged goods to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Ensure all products are accurately priced and properly signed, following established protocols for ordering, clearance, and pricing adjustments.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning standards to uphold a hygienic working environment.
• Keep the grocery department fully stocked by handling merchandise placement, restocking, downstocking, applying product protection, and setting up modular displays.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands effectively.

Challenges in the Position

• Efficiently manage a high volume of tasks within a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain focus and energy during overnight shifts through careful planning and management.
• Perform physical activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Carry out repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products consistently and carefully to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
