About the Role
Join Vestas, the global leader in wind energy solutions, as a Stock Keeper at the Oysterbay Windfarm in Northern Cape, South Africa. This key position supports wind energy operations by handling inventory, tools, and materials to ensure availability and smooth workflows across service locations. Whether your background is in wind energy, warehouse, or logistics, your efforts contribute directly to powering communities with clean, renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receipt, storage, and dispatch of parts and tools to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor and expedite delivery of crucial materials to reduce turbine downtime.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and update ERP systems to maintain accurate stock records.
- Collaborate closely with technicians and site management to anticipate material requirements and resolve logistical challenges.
- Support the supply chain to remain robust, responsive, and aligned with the company’s mission.
Candidate Requirements
- Detail-focused and well-organized with exemplary time management skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory control environments, preferably involving material handling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and experienced in ERP/MRP software such as SAP or Power BI.
- Physically capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and committed to following safety protocols.
- Fluent in English with the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions effectively.
- Possession of a matric certificate and a valid driver’s license.
Competencies and Additional Attributes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and SAP ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
