About the Role
Join Vestas as a Stock Keeper, a vital position supporting wind energy initiatives by overseeing inventory, tools, and materials at our service locations. Whether you have prior experience in wind energy or come from a warehousing or logistics background, your precise management ensures essential parts are promptly available, contributing to delivering clean and dependable energy to communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the shipping, receipt, and storage of parts and tools to guarantee operational continuity.
- Track and prioritize the movement of essential materials to reduce turbine downtime and sustain uninterrupted service.
- Maintain accurate inventory records via regular stock counts and updates in ERP systems, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Coordinate with technicians and site leadership to forecast requirements, resolve logistical obstacles, and enhance team effectiveness.
- Support the community by ensuring a dependable and responsive supply chain aligned with our mission.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Detail-focused and well-organized with strong time management capabilities.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management roles involving material handling.
- Proficient user of Excel and familiar with ERP/MRP tools such as SAP or Power BI.
- Committed to safety practices and physically able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in English for reading, speaking, and following instructions.
- Possession of a Matric certificate and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of additional local languages beneficial.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications and SAP ERP software.
- Willing to undertake travel as required by the role.
