About the Role

Join a developing renewable energy company in Roscommon as a Maintenance Planner, where you'll manage the upkeep and reliability of a modern industrial plant while aiding in ongoing facility expansion and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the site's preventive maintenance schedule to ensure operational excellence.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks to optimize plant uptime and equipment reliability.
  • Keep comprehensive records of maintenance activities, procedures, and technical documents.
  • Manage inventory of vital spare parts and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Use SCADA control systems to monitor plant performance and spot irregularities.
  • Detect equipment faults, alarms, and other performance challenges promptly.
  • Organize and supervise external contractors and maintenance service providers.
  • Provide day-to-day support for maintenance operations across the facility.
  • Lead and oversee two Plant Operatives, collaborating closely with the operations team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as the site grows and evolves.

Candidate Profile

  • Relevant engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering or practical experience in maintenance planning/engineering.
  • Background in manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy, or industrial process sectors.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance frameworks and scheduling.
  • Experience handling equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, mixers, and other rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with SCADA or similar plant monitoring tools is advantageous.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills are essential.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and maintenance management software.
  • Possession of a full, valid driving license.
