About the Opportunity
An exciting nursing position is available at the West Wing Clinical Research Centre (WWCRC) where innovative, early-phase oncology clinical trials are conducted at the cutting edge of cancer treatment. The appointed nurse will be tasked with coordinating and delivering complex clinical trial protocols, administering systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) and investigational treatments, as well as closely monitoring and supporting patients throughout their treatment journeys. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to uphold safe and exceptional patient care standards is essential to this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, document, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care efficiently and responsibly, in alignment with shift coordinators.
- Enhance understanding of cancer patients' needs and the variety of treatment methods offered within the clinical unit.
- Develop knowledge of shift management responsibilities under guidance from the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
- Assist in educating patients about investigations, treatments, and aftercare required at home.
